ABOUT DWYER MECHANICAL
Dwyer Mechanical is a family-owned residential and commercial HVAC company serving San Diego County.
While the Dwyer Mechanical name represents a new company, the experience behind it spans nearly four decades.
The company was founded by Joe Dwyer with a bigger vision than simply building another HVAC business. After spending his career working throughout the Southern California mechanical and HVAC industry, Joe wanted to build a company around technical knowledge, honest service and the development of the next generation of highly skilled HVAC professionals.
MEET JOE DWYER
Joe began his HVAC career in San Diego as a shop helper for a family-owned mechanical company. He quickly worked his way into installation and service, later studying sheet metal layout and design and continuing his education through extensive equipment, controls and mechanical-system training.
Over nearly 40 years, that experience has taken him from residential systems and custom homes to some of the most technically demanding commercial environments.

Finding the Problem Before Selling the Solution
Troubleshooting is where Joe’s depth of experience becomes particularly valuable.
After decades of working across many different types of equipment and applications, he understands how individual components interact within the larger mechanical system.
That allows him to look beyond an obvious symptom and determine what is actually causing the problem.
Joe has repeatedly found himself repairing work performed by others, correcting systems that were improperly designed or installed, identifying code and efficiency issues, and providing second opinions when customers were told replacement was their only option.

Dwyer Mechanical isn’t built around selling the most expensive solution.
When a system can reasonably be repaired or replaced, we’ll explain both options. We’ll discuss the expected costs, advantages, disadvantages and long-term considerations so the customer can decide what’s right for their property.
Our responsibility is to understand the problem and provide accurate information, not pressure someone into buying equipment they may not need.
